Nice, private accommodations. Great response from renter. I had some difficulty with locking keypad. Be advised, house is across the street from the railroad tracks. All amenities were supplied. .
The house was great for our one night stay. The house was clean and stocked. We had to leave early and didn't spend the entire night. But the host was gracious and easy to communicate with. Would recommend!
The house was very clean and neat. Kitchen well equipped, chairs and sofa comfortable, location great for our purposes (visiting family who lived less than a mile away). Fresh paint, flooring, appliances, etc so they are just starting this rental and have done a lot of work. Suited our needs for this visit.Twin mattresses were not comfortable, the queen was fine. A suitcase stand would have been nice in the second bedroom. The shower did not have a regular "mixer" lever to turn on the water. I'm sure this is being fixed now.I did have some delay in communication. Again, this is a new rental. The host was very accommodating and kind and we recommended it so several people at church who need a place for family to stay when they visit.
Communications with the host was not great. No response from the host until I contacted VRBO with a request to cancel. If you love trains, this is the place for you! The cleanliness was less than adequate. There were residual items left in the nightstand, what looked like boogers on the sheet of one single bed, and the toilet was not thoroughly cleaned. The shower was not great with an archaic setup. The doors were not sufficiently secure and what I would consider vulnerable. Parking was insufficient as the several house guests of the larger home took up most of the spaces. Only positives were the spacious living areas, 2 coffee pots, stocked kitchen with plates, bowls, etc., and proximity to downtown and eateries. The pictures do not properly display the actual accommodations provided. Very disappointed in this property for the price.
This property mostly lived up to our expectations, but I think some additional detail in the property listing is needed.Parking was ample, size of property was good for the number of occupants, all the necessities seemed to be there. Bed in master bedroom was comfortable. Everything seemed clean. The flooring is not carpet, but the epoxy that you'd typically find on a garage floor. Not a big deal, just feels a little more "industrial" than "home-like".What is a bigger deal, and should be disclosed, is that the property is directly across the road from active train tracks, and also near an intersection. So several times a night we were awakened by a train blaring its horn as it passed by. There are ear plugs provided in each bedroom, if you're okay with that solution. My other issue is security. There are two exterior doors which are what I've only ever seen used as a secondary door to another more secure door. They're nearly full glass, light weight, with a not very sturdy lock. One of the two locks was difficult to get engaged. One of the two doors didn't have any sort of curtain or covering. The property is clearly a work in progress, but mostly done. Some continued finishing work, and all but the train noise would be addressed.Communication could be improved somewhat too, since I still hadn't received check-in instructions even while we were on the road a couple of hours away. And there is not even basic info provided on site, such as wifi or a contact number.
