We liked the very charming appartment, however have two complaints: 1) we found several hairs that were certainly not ours in the bathroom, expected a perfectly clean house for this price; 2) we could hear our upper neighbours, in a house of the same organisation, walking the whole night.. Alltogether: very charming appartement in a top spot, but it should be clean for the price (and preferably less noisy).

Loved the big space, and the bed and couch were very comfortable! If anyone else is wondering as I did if the round dining table is a good size for working on a computer, there’s plenty of space for 1. I preferred sitting by the window there so just moved the desk chair. Super easy to walk around the castle to get places, and a Sainsburys is a block away. Felt safe at night to walk back. As someone who doesn’t usually get their room cleaned partway but had a longer stay, I do wish there was say a bit more toilet paper and Kleenex, but I’m sure that’s easy to ask for. Perhaps also there could be other things like salt&pepper or other base condiments? I didn’t need any, but if you’re not staying long AND want to cook, it sucks to have to buy those things. Also fyi that the garden 1 bedroom is down a flight of stairs. I’d stay here again for a quiet retreat in the city! Seeing the castle every time I went out the door was amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at 33 Castle Terrace in Edinburgh. The location couldn’t have been better—just steps away from the heart of the city, with stunning views of the Castle and easy access to all the main attractions. The place itself was spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The interiors had a warm, welcoming feel, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring the city. The attention to detail really stood out, from the cozy furnishings to the modern amenities. Communication with the host was smooth and professional, which made the whole experience stress-free. Overall, 33 Castle Terrace offers the perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and charm. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Edinburgh perfection!

We loved this apartment style hotel. We only spent one night at the end of our trip and I wish we had booked this for the start of our trip when we spent 3 nights in Edinburgh. The apartment was perfect. Great location, comfortable, clean and well decorated.

Amazing place!

Perfect location near the heart of Edinburgh. Room was very spacious and comfortable, all amenities including full kitchen, very nice and clean inside. Everything you need, host has lots of games and great speaker to entertain you as well. Loved our stay.

A great stay, hope to return!

A home away from home. The appartment was properly cleaned except for some minor spots here and there. There where some long scratches on some walls that I guess a previous guest caused. Maybe the owner did'nt have the time to remedy this before our stay, but the overall impression of the appartment was really good. Both kitchen and bathroom seemed newly renovated, the kitchen had enough supplyes for our low ambition for cooking. A small shelf to place our toiletries in the bathrooms would have been appreciated to keep the area in front of the mirror clean from clutter but that's just my opinion. I got the impression that the owner really put some effort into making us feel welcome. The green panflit with good-to-know info was very appreciated as it answered our questions so we could feel relaxed. Perhaps a bench or some stable furniture to sit on in the hallway for putting on shoes could make it more accessible for those who are a bit unstable, as my boyfriend is (healthwise, not drunkeness 😉 ) In the evenings we heard some of the tattoo from the castle if a window was open but nothing with the window closed. We hope to be welcomed back, it was close to everything central and still really quiet. And the bed was super comfy. We stayed for only 2 nights but we wish to return to Edinburgh and 33 Castle Terrace for longer stayes in the future.

This is an apartment that is centrally located. The bed is comfortable and the place was very clean. The location is the best part of this rental. As soon as you walk outside the door the castle is right there. it's 5 minute walk to the royal mile and all shops and restaurants around it.
