This is a beautiful hotel with top-notch staff and perfect location. Unfortunately, I had to place the air freshener in the hallway as the strong scent kept me from sleep. Thereafter, I realized the room smelled like mold/mildew, so I couldn’t sleep at all.

The staff is fantastic and the location is great. Even during Fringe, the room was quiet. If you can do it, the suite is the best room available.

The staff were great. However, the value for money at this hotel just isn't. The room is tiny, and the bathroom is smaller and just not very practical.

A perfect stay.. Tucked away but still very walkable to the Royal Mile. The bedtime milk and cookies were such a fun little touch. We loved House of the Gods!

The property has perfect location. It also is a very fun, unusual boutique hotel. But the rooms were exceedingly small. It really was not comfortable for two people in a room.

This beautiful boutique hotel is perfectly situated a block from the Royal mile and an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. The room was so comfortable and beautifully eclectic with all the amenities you’d ever want. The best part by far is the hotel staff. They seem to anticipate all of our needs and took care of us like we were the most important customers they’d ever had. I highly recommend the House of Gods to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

This was such a fun place to stay! The room is styled like an old, ornate train car! It was so comfy and cozy in our room. The staff was friendly and helpful— when we arrived they immediately offered us prosecco. The best part? The milk & cookies button right in the room. Press it and fresh, hot cookies and milk arrive at your room in minutes! There’s a prosecco button too! So fun!

The place is a bit of a maze and quite dark, but it's beautifully decorated and the staff is incredibly attentive and helpful. It was very comfy, and the cabin room wasn't as small as I was expecting which was nice. It's excellent for a short stay, but I don't think I could deal with the wet room bathroom for an extended time period.

Sent about 5 different emails / messages trying to sell us add-ons to our room. A bit tacky and completely at odds with the boutique marketing / aesthetic. Very good stay otherwise.
