Well located, nice bar area. Rooms are ok - comfy enough, quite minimalist, breakfast is continental which was ok but the bar area isn’t ideal location for it as not many tables to eat at.

We had a lovely stay at Motel One! The front desk stafff was very accommodating, the bar staff was great and made excellent drinks . The hotel was right next to Royal Mile , and very close to Waverley station, If we’re ever back in Edinburgh, we’d definitely stay there again

Excellent location. The property was clean and well maintained. Although the rooms were spartan in decor and size, it was perfect for my stay which did not include a lot of hanging out in my hotel room. I also stayed at the Motel One in Glasgow and at the Motel One in Amsterdam Waterlooplein on this trip. All were great stays. I would recommend and stay again

I love staying at Motel Ones! This was my second time at one and they are always so clean and nice. I love the bar; they have a great gin selection. The rooms are small but they use the space well and they’re very clean and modern. This was very conveniently located as well - close to the train station, Princes Street Gardens, and the castle/royal mile.

I had a lovely stay at the Motel One in Edinburgh. The location really can't be beat, and the staff were very helpful in recommending places to check out. One thing to note in Scotland is that in-room fridges and clocks are not common here, so plan accordingly.

Pros - Staff were really lovely, room was clean and location excellent.
Cons - Room was on ground floor underneath a busy street/hill so was very noisy through the night despite double glazing. Free seating at breakfast tricky for a solo traveller - it was very busy and my seat (despite my book on the table) was taken by the time I returned with my food and I had to hover for a while for another seat.
