The only thing that would’ve made it better would be a pair of slippers because the hardwood floor was quite cold. So I recommend taking a pair. Otherwise, it was a fabulous location and the staff were great.

This place it’s near everything, location was great! It doesn’t have a restaurant but it does have a bar. Many Dining options very close by. Room was very comfortable and clean. Overall beautiful hotel. Breakfast options available.

I booked this hotel after watching for a good price. I paid $100 more than the other one I had booked because I wanted this hotel, but after checking in my luggage for storage at 8 am and we returned at 5 pm we were told they were moving us due to a leak in our room and being sold out. We were moved to a sister property about 5 mins away, but that’s not what I wanted. We were offered food and drinks, but we’d just ate so we took drinks. However, the other property was not on par with what I wanted and I would not have booked that. I’m not sure that it was the same money over there, but I was not offered a discount at all. I wish they would have told me this and let me rebook myself. I’m the end, we had a room, but it just seemed odd to me that we stored luggage there and watched people check in while we were told our room was no good.

We try to come to Edinburgh annually, adn always look to book at Wilde. We love the Grassmarket area, and this place is not only perfectly located, it is very nice, very comfortable. We recommend Wilde to everyone we know that is going to Edinburgh!!
