“The window in the room is frosted which IMO is absurd, especially in a place as beautiful as CR. I asked for a different room and was told all the rooms have just one window that is completely frosted. I don't mind a small room, but a small room without an actual window isn't tolerable for me. I asked for a refund and was told no, so I said I would post this bad review. They responded with a sarcastic, "Thanks". I found a much, much better place to stay even though I had to pay their bill. “We were blown away by the view. Everyone we interacted with, from the owner (talking through the doorbell camera outside the gate), to the owner's friends who came by, to the staff who made the breakfast were incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed here for one night just to be closer to the airport since we were coming from Nosara. It was worth the slight detour rather than staying at the airport hotel. Amazing last night and morning, sitting on the balcony watching the birds, the boats, and……

“Hotel d’escale pour nous. Situe entre deux grandes surfaces. Piscine un peu vieillissante. Type un peu motel américain avec des escales pour les routiers. En bord de route. Petit déjeuner et restaurant le soir à l’hôtel partenaire à côté . Très bon. Attention on parle un peu moins anglais dans la region( notamment le soir au restaurant. “Not worth the money. The pool and gardens are beautiful, and the breakfast was decent, but unfortunately the positives ended there. Our room was dated and had a persistent odor that felt like a mix of humidity and mold. The ice machine in our building was out of service for the entire week of our stay, leaving only one working machine in another building. Basic amenities were also lacking: the shampoo felt like dish soap, and neither conditioner nor body lotion was provided, forcing us to……

“The workers were great, friendly and helpful. The room was incredibly small, we had the room with two twin beds. The space between the beds was about a foot. Two people could not stand in that space. Incredibly difficult for two people to maneuver around in.”

“Staff were amazing. We had an issue with an excursion and they helped us with it. The resort was clean. The resort is on the smaller side. Pool was big enough but there was not enough loungers for the people there. Also, the food was just average, nothing spectacular. It was a good trip.”
