This was such a lovely stay! The room with the view is very worth it! The room was very nicely renovated, a perfect size for 2 people, and the view was unbeatable. It was also a great location, very walkable and the staff was so nice!

Great place to stay in Florence! The Essence Hotel is in an excellent location, very close to many of the city’s main attractions, which made it easy to explore everything on foot. The rooms were spacious, very clean, modern, and comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence.

Clean room, friendly and helpful staff, and the location was close to everything I needed! And the view og the duomo was very nice. The only downside was the door of my room that needed a little push and pull, before it properly locked. Other than that, I had a very pleasant stay!

The Essence Hotel is very well kept. Once you find your way to the third level of an old style building you'll see a beautiful, clean renovated hotel. The staff is very friendly. My only observations are the elevator didn't work on the day we checked out at 7am and we had to rush down the stairs with our heavy bags. The entrance might also be a little dark but other than that we had a great stay.

Fantastic stay while in Florence. The gentleman that welcomed us was a font of knowledge and provided all and a lot more than we expected. Very clean hotel, modern fixtures and fittings. Location was fine, a 15 minute saunter from the Duomo. Would recommend to anyone!!

It’s hard to believe this hotel is rated only 3 stars! Considering the spacious rooms, modern furniture, renovated floors, spotless rooms, and, most importantly, the helpful and welcoming staff, I would easily rate it as a 4-star hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a smile. Special thanks to Edouardo, whose restaurant recommendations were excellent and made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Florence!

Nicely located hotel. The room was spacious and we loved the coffee station (although we would suggest adding coffee whitener to the amenities). Staff was so helpful explaining the details for a stress free stay. She also pointed out several must sees on a map. Would stay here again.

We loved this hotel. The room was spotless. The bed was incredibly lovely with crisp white linens. We slept with the windows open although, you could hear the people in the park, the air was wonderful. The views from our room were beautiful. Room 103. Slim options for breakfast, but just across the square was a great spot. Bar Jolly. Great TV options at the end of a long day and to watch CNN. This hotel has a very small elevator, which we didn’t mind but might bother some, especially with young children with strollers. It is away from the crowds, but only an 8- to 10-minute walk to everything. The best restaurants within less than 5 minutes, including Osteria Vecchio Cancello and Osteria il Giardino di Barbano, both with outdoor garden dining. Essence Hotel was a great value.
