We checked in very late on a Friday night - myself, my husband, our 2 young children and my mom. When we arrived for check-in, I was not greeted with a smile from any of the 4+ workers behind the desk. The entire check-in process took 45 + minutes and at one point i was told they were "trying to find a room for us." They claimed it was a "first come, first serve basis" but I had reserved the rooms months in advance. The employee's talked to each other but had minimal communication with me as I sat and waited for the process. They eventually moved us to a different, older property than what I reserved. The rooms were very outdated in the "Egret Building" (where we ended up being checked in to). When I asked questions about the property they were moving us to, the employees were very unhelpful and said "we're just the night shift." The pool was more like a motel's pool. I was very disappointed as I booked this as a kid-friendly vacation and was particularly looking forward to a kids pool for my young children and ended up with much less in our room and building area. They do offer shuttle rides to and from each of the properties but this is an added step and inconvenience with two young children. The pool at the Weston property is very busy and finding chairs is very difficult. Overall, the room in the Egret Building was very large and did accommodate us, however, it is not what I booked and I would have enjoyed the more resort-feel of the Weston property.

Just ok- definitely not "4 star resort". The line to check in was insanely long. They don't mention on their Expedia listing that there's a parking fee or $150 deposit. The rooms are outdated, the limited kitchen they offer is a hot plate that doesn't work, and the floor was sticky.

However, our air conditioning was not working properly and maintenance had to come several times over our 2 night stay. Room became unbearable at night. Pool was large and heated. The online check-in was pretty standard. However, once at the Vacation Village registration office the small pocket folder with our room keys also had 2 business-size cards for use at the pool to be presented for issuance of towels for use in the pool area with cards to be returned to the guest when towels were returned. The cards had a note printed informing guests to return the cards upon check out to avoid being billed for the towels. We only stayed in our suite for about 10 hours and did not use the pool or any other resort facilities. We were sure to check out in person and handed key-cards and Towel use cards to a member of the hospitality team in the registration office in person. There were no instructions about options for returning the towel cards to avoid additional charges for anyone using the phone or on-line check out procedures.

Upon check-in, we were not given the room that we paid for/reserved. We were told that they overbooked & could not give us the room we paid for & we would have to come back in the morning. We came back in the morning and they said the room was still not available and we should get a text message when it would be available and we waited & never received a text message. We went back to the front desk again and my husband had to ask for the room again and was told to come back after two. We came back in the evening & they still didn’t have the room or keys ready for us and my husband had to wait for a manager- it was late at night at this point & we were really frustrated and disappointed. Total of 3 visits to get the room we booked and when we went to our room, it still did not have the pool view that we were told it would have upoun booking & the view was obstructed/not a full pool view. Overall, our experience was not great & we would not really stay here again. The pool was overpopulated and there were no chairs on ANY day that we tried to visit. It was so disappointing as we wanted to relax on a chair and soak up the sun but all day the chairs were reserved and not one came open. We left in the afternoons and hit the beach but next time will just stay at a beach property. We totally over paid for what we had - add the horrible customer service having to go to them 3 times for our room & then still not get the right room & a over populated pool- we won’t come back/recommend

As a reasonable guest, I would not choose to stay here again. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after two separate stays before and after a cruise, our experience was consistently disappointing. On both reservations, we were told at the 4:00 PM guaranteed check in time that our room was not ready. We were not alone. There were at least 60 plus guests in the lobby being told the same thing. It was extremely frustrating, and I genuinely felt bad for the front desk staff who were left to manage what appears to be a seriously flawed check in process. During our first stay, we did not receive our room until 6:00 PM. On our second visit, it was about an hour past check in before our room was available. When we finally got into the room, it was 80 degrees due to a broken AC unit. Maintenance ultimately moved us to another room. The A side rooms are spacious and reasonably clean, but the repeated check in delays and room issues made both stays frustrating, especially considering we were only staying overnight before and after a cruise. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel and would strongly encourage others to consider alternative options.
