“Room was very good. Rather warm, but turning the radiators off and opening the windows sorted that out. A very pleasant stay with the breakfast a 6 mile walk and a light lunch in the pub.”

“Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. We upgraded to a grand suite which was gorgeous. Had a meal at eighty eight, the look of the restaurant was great and the food matched, very tasty. A slight issue with some drinks going on our bill by mistake which I’m unsure how that happened as you sign for them, and we didn’t get our chocolates and water for the journey home which the check out staff said would be in our car. Overall a fabulous stay with some tiny issues.”

“My fifth time at the Grantham Arms in 4 years and it's always excellent. Lovely staff, fun, clean rooms and really comfortable beds. What's not to love about a place that maintains such consistently good standards? Breakfast was also beautifully cooked as well.”

“Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay.”

“The room was clean, well designed and very comfortable. A soap dish would have been useful for the soap that was on offer to use. The heated towel rail is a necessity but not particularly well placed above the toilet (although I could not see another suitable place for it). The hotel was under renovation at the time. The builders were polite and considerate and any noise (not much during our stay) ceased at 5pm, as promised. We had a wonderful time and stayed an extra night on the strength of……

“We had a really enjoyable stay. The hotel is lovely and conveniently located just a short walk from the town centre. Our room was beautifully furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only slight downside was a bit of noise from the road, but it didn’t spoil our stay. Overall, a great experience and we would happily return.”
