“We had a wonderful stay at this guest house in Kyoto. The hosts are a wonderful friendly couple who communicated with us continually a couple days before check in & throughout our stay. Upon arrival the home was very clean & orderly. It was well stocked with plenty of towels & toilet paper. “Beautiful and clean house. Very spacious, and great amenities. Nice quiet location a very short cab from a lot of great sights in Kyoto.Really appreciated the shower room with the tub and the large windows. It was also a nice touch that robes, umbrellas, and laundry detergent came with the rental.Just lost one star due to the combination of 10am check-out time, 3pm check-in time, and check-out checklist for the guests. “Worse hostel I have ever lived in !!!! The garage was filled with clutter and very dark, even with lights on, like an old warehouse. There are many things inside the garage, such as multiple refrigerators and washing machines. “In general, the place was fine. It’s a bit far to Gion District and Central Tokyo, but is close to the Golden Temple and Ryoan-ji Temple. Because of the heat and mobility issues, we took cabs everywhere else, cabs are easy to get, and even easier with the GO app. I was not impressed with the cleaning.
