A Pleasure

I stayed here for three weeks in February 2024. The check-in process was easy; Susana was very flexible about the time and showed all the amenities. She was easy to communicate with throughout the stay and had great suggestions for sightseeing. I had dinner at a different restaurant every night, but the apartment is well supplied for cooking if that's preferred. There's a fruit stand and mini market across the street and a couple of supermarkets down the hill part way. ATMs are everywhere. The apartment is at the top of the building and has great views of the harbor and much of Funchal old town. I enjoyed every minute there and will definitely be coming back!

Peaceful Spot Above Funchal

This apartment was PERFECT for us...parking, all the comforts we required, groceries and small restaurants right there, 15-min walk to the city center, and a host who was happy to help in any way she could. THANK YOU for a wonderful stay.

Couldn’t get a better location, close to all 3 old towns and not too far from tourist hotel area. Very close to a big supermarket, only a 2 min walk. Stayed in Funchal 3 times now and this appartment has by far the best views of the mountains and sea. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful location and lovely setting

Susana was a wonderful host with many great suggestions for restaurants, bakeries and activities. The accommodations were perfectly situated and convenient to everything in Funchal. The view from the top floor apartment was magnificent day and night. The off street parking was a huge bonus too. Our family enjoyed our time in Madiera and highly recommend this property!

Magnifique appartement à Funchal

Nous avons passé 1 semaine magnifique dans l'appartement de Susana. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés, l'appartement est encore mieux que sur les photos, spacieux, propre, bien équipé, avec une bonne literie, très calme, au 11ème et dernier étage (ascenseur jusqu'au 10ème) avec un balcon et une vue sur la baie de Funchal à plus de 180°. Un vrai paradis. Café, supérette et boulangerie sont au pied de l'immeuble. Le parking couvert juste en face compris dans la location est un atout et nécessaire si vous louez une voiture (on recommande Mad Point). L'appartement est à proximité de tout, à 10min à pieds du centre de Funchal, du Mercado dos Lavradores, du téléphérique pour aller au jardin de Monte, de supermarchés (continente et pingo dolce), 15min du port, et à proximité directe des accès routiers pour visister toute l'île. Susana est disponible, réactive et très sympathique et parle français. Nous serions ravis de la rencontrer la prochaine fois. Elle nous a organisé le trajet taxi de l'Aéroport avec Terri, un chauffeur super sympa qui parle aussi français ! Recommandation de restos : Santa Maria, Akua, Brunch Club, Vila da carne. Nous reviendrons sans hésitation !!! Merci Susana.

Great location and views. But…

We absolutely loved the location. The neighborhood was great. Super walkable to so much! It was nice to have a garage, though parking on the fifth level with a larger vehicle was a bit trying. Honestly, the unit could’ve been cleaner. And we weren’t impressed with not having coffee or basics like body wash and shampoo. But there is a little market just across the street so we were able to get what we needed easily.

Perfect Funchal location

Stunning views of the sea and hills. So many of Funchal’s delights within walking distance though be aware of the climbs. Ideal for a couple, plenty of internal space.Kitchen and lounge of very high standard. Main bedroom lacks basic facilities, eg. mirror and dressing table. Would strongly recommend this property.

Nous avons passé 3 semaines dans l'appartement de Suzanna (2 adultes et 2 enfants). Il est spacieux au dernier étage d'une tour avec ascenceurs (10eme), avec un sympathique petit balcon donnant vue sur la baie de funchal. Il est bien placé à 5/10 minutes de 2 supermarchés (continente et pingo dolce), et proche de différents bus / terminaux. L'environnement est calme le soir tant dans l'immeuble que dans le quartier. Je recommande.

Ein traumhafter Ausblick aus einem wunderschönen Appartment

Wir haben jeden Moment genossen, angefangen vom Sonnenaufgang, wenn man links aus dem Balkon schaute bis zum Sonnenuntergang auf der rechten Seite. Die ganze Farbenpracht Madeiras lag uns zu Füßen. Das Appartement hat so gut wie alles was man braucht und vor allem eine wunderbare Lage, um innerhalb Funchal alles zu Fuß zu erreichen, Eine Garage gehört mit dazu und somit kein Problem mit der Parkplatzsuche. Wir können es nur empfehlen

Susana est une femme très sympathique et réactive. La maison est très agréable. Il ne manque rien au niveau des équipements. La vue est magnifique et incroyable et la situation géographique est parfaite. Supermarché à 5m environ, ouverte même le dimanche et tard le soir, boulangerie au pied de l'immeuble, 10 minutes environ du marché, 10 minutes environ de l avenue de la mer. Quel plaisir de rentrer dans cet appartement le soir après une journée de randonnée. Je reviendrai sans hésitation dans ce petit coin de paradis ! Merci Susana !

Prachtige luxe flat met panoramisch uitzicht midden in het centrum van de stad

We hebben deze moderne maar sfeervolle flat met 5 volwassenen bewoond. Vanuit de huiskamer en keuken is de gehele baai met levendige haven en de binnenstad te bewonderen. Cruiseschepen, veerboten en toeristisch rondvaartboten doen de haven regelmatig aan. Vanuit de logia met een lekker glaasje is dit allemaal prima te volgen. De flat ligt in het centrum en binnen enkele minuten lopen ben je- midden in het toeristische centrum. Grappig is, dat vanuit de omgeving en vanuit zee het flatgebouw goed is te zien. Hadden geen huurauto, deze alles te voet of met de stadsbus of met de on-op on-off bus en excursies met toeristische minibusjes. Maar er ook een parkeergarage onder de flat. Er is voldoende keukengerei, maar ook een oven, fornuis, vaatwasser en zelfs een heuse Delta koffiemachine (ander formaat cup dan Nespresso) voor echt heerlijke koffie. Super dat deze Delta aanwezig is. Tegenover de flat is een mini supermarkt, waar van alles te koop is, zoals vers brood, wijn, bier, vers fruit en zelfs Delta koffiecapsules voor de Delta koffiemachine. Daartegenover en naast de flat is een bakker, waar je ook heel goedkoop kunt ontbijten. Gecombineerd met het heerlijke klimaat en het schitterend mooie landschap hebben we hier een super week gehad. Komen zeker een keer terug. Van harte aanbevolen.

Great base for a long term stay.

We have rented many holiday homes across Europe over the past 30 years and this is definitely one of the best. The apartment is spacious, well laid out and full of light. The furnishings, bed linens, etc. all feel relatively new. It felt more like a home than a rental space. We were very comfortable there for our one month visit. We particularly enjoyed the balcony with its wonderful view across the town and harbour. The neighbourhood is quiet and it is a short walk to the market, supermarkets and major sights. We hope to return to Funchal one day and I think it would be hard to find a better place to stay than this apartment.

Eine super Wohnung! Sehr stylisch, sauber und großzügig mit einem fulminanten Blick über die ganze Bucht und einer unkomplizierten, ungeheuer netten Vermieterin. In wenigen Gehminuten ist man mitten in der Altstadt, am Hafen oder in tollen Restaurants. Sehr empfehlenswert.
