Will not return to this apartment
We booked AL’gria I for three weeks. The apartment is clean, cozy, newly renovated, and well equipped, with a modern kitchen and comfortable beds. The housekeeping staff were punctual and helpful, and our host, Tiago, was friendly. However, communication via WhatsApp felt cold and abrupt.
Check-in was not smooth, as the instructions for using the entrance code were unclear and we had to call for assistance.
The main issue was noise from the unit above (AL’gria II). The building appears to have very poor sound insulation. From the first floor, we could clearly hear conversations, doors slamming, and frequent activity from the upstairs apartment, including footsteps, children running and screaming, loud movement, and objects being dropped. The upstairs unit was occupied by the owner’s family throughout our stay, which significantly affected our comfort.
Due to the noise, my husband ended his stay early, and I had to rely on noise-cancelling earbuds.
This apartment may suit guests who are less sensitive to noise, but those seeking a quiet stay should be aware of this. There is also a tourist tax charged separately from the rental price.
