「A wonderful guesthouse a few miles outside of town. It had everything we needed and the communication with the owners was great. The only small downside was the combo washer/dryer took 5 hours to do a very small load and we couldn't use it overnight because it was right next to the pullout bed.」

The towels were fluffy, there was plenty paper towels, TP, tissue etc. Even a flashlight to find your way to the bathroom at night. Comfortable beds, books about the island, food recommendations. I would definitely recommend this home for a stay in Hilo.」

「Great place just down the road from the National Park. Took 5 minutes or so to get to the main entrance. The unit is part of the main residence, which was quiet, however you could hear the wood creek above you when the residence walks. Like all Hawaii you are subject to the roosters waking you up early but definitely recommend if you need a place to crash VERY close to the park.」

「A unique getaway with options if you want them. We opted to eat and talk past dark at the table on the 2nd story deck outside the room. We heard some night birds and a nice steady rain as we slept. Our hosts communicated in great detail. Make sure you read their text before you get there for the best stay. 」
