“From booking to checking out, a fantastic stay! Rebecca was so friendly & welcoming, nothing was too much trouble & everything was thought of. We stayed in room 3 that was spacious, beautifully decorated with a super comfy bed. Lovely breakfast too. Will definitely stay again if in the area & highly recommend ”

“The staff were all so lovely and welcoming, it didn't feel too pretentious at all. Our room was gorgeous and extremely spacious, the bed was lovely - clean, soft and crisp sheets. Plenty of storage and seats in the room and a dresser/desk. ”

“A little remote, but in a nice environment. Nice and cosy, and run by a old couple. The only drawback for an overall top marks is because of the shower, although it is newly installed, it is difficult to operate and the water pressure is somewhat too low to have a nice shower. The worst part is the wall inside the shower cubicle is dirty but consider the old couple are working hard to run the hotel and also the nice letters restaurants, so it is not a complaint, just would like to point it……

“Quiet room (separate to pub) with comfortable beds. We dont like full, hot breakfasts so it was nice not to have to pay for it. The cereal/fruit /toast/ pastries were ideal for us. The food in the pub was nice, probably not worth the price but that's fine as a one-off. The pub was attractive and cosy. All staff were lovely and very helpful. Note - free toiletries are available at the bar, not in the room. The only things I didnt like were the stag head looming over our breakfast area and the……

“We arrived late at night after leaving a hotel 15 minutes away that turned out to be dreadful. We felt so welcome here - the kindest, most welcoming people, and very cosy, spotless, pretty rooms, with welcome baskets of much-appreciated snacks. Very comfy, quiet and peaceful. Exactly what we needed. We will definitely stay again on our trips to visit family locally.”
