“This hotel has so much potential. Indoor pool, beach access, beautiful property. Unfortunately, it seems there is no upkeep on normal maintenance and is in desperate need of a good clean. The hallway and carpeting in our room were sandy, as was the bathroom. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom are falling (looks heavy with a water leak) and there was thick black mold growing in and around the tub. When we checked in, my toddler had just fallen asleep and older daughter was near sleep and I didn’t……

“The staff was great: Mark at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and renovated. The location of the motel is noisy when you’re outside but fine in the room. The restaurant was convenient and the food was good. Service was very good. We didn’t use the pool as it wasn’t very inviting after I had a chance to swim in the lake. The place was very quiet.”

“We had a lovely room in the Gildhall; it was spacious and clean. We would have liked a microwave and table as the room was listed as having a kitchenette. I’m not sure whether we were advised as to the separate location and the number of stairs. The grounds were lovely and the pool and spa were wonderful. Some the exteriors of the buildings looked like they needed spray washing to remove the cobwebs and clean the windows.”

“We have stayed here once before back in 2020 during COVID when there were plenty of restrictions (No breakfast, no pool, masks) WE loved Goderich and wanted to come back. WE chose the Comfort Suites as our best option. When we arrived this time we were informed the pool was closed - this after a trip to St. Jacob's in February where we were informed the pool was closed there, as well. Why can't these closures be posted on EXPEDIA when a person is booking??? Expedia is dropping the ball here.……

“The rooms and carpets were sooo dated. The room had a fridge and it work well the AC worked also. The room had very old furniture and old blankets. Visible dust and dust bunnies around the back of old wood furniture. Its right in the heart of the square. Worth the price I guess.”

“We stayed in an apartment at South Shore Suites and had an excellent experience. The place was spotless, very clean, and well maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning was a great plus during our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we appreciated the thoughtful detail of having coffee available for the coffee maker. We also enjoyed the gas BBQ, which is very convenient since you don’t have to worry about charcoal. The pool was great, and the overall……
