「Very cool place to stay. It did take a while to drive into Thirsk, but worth it.」

「We had a very comfortable stay. The room was very clean, the breakfast made to your order with additional cereal and juice available. The staff were very friendly and concerned about our needs. Car parking was provided at the back. The location was within walking distance from the town centre pubs and restaurant as well as next to a big Tesco. Perhaps the TV was a tad small. 」

「I have a 3-5 on service. All the staff that I interacted with were very helpful and professional. However, the housekeeping was not good. I was only there for 2 days. On the first day, my room was not cleaned, despite housekeeping being right outside the room when I left for the day. On the second day, the room was cleaned but the amenities (tea, coffee, etc.) were not replenished. Clearly no quality checks by the housekeeping management.」

「A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks.」

「Travelling solo for Ramblers purposes for 2 nights, it was a pleasure staying here, luxury accommodation, all those nice little extras in the rooms, like a big TV, Nespresso coffee maker, complementary bottles of water, biscuits etc. Things you miss a lot nowadays when you stay in budget big chain hotels. The staff were really excellent. First night turned out to be the World Cup semi final, England v Argentina and they even reserved a table for me in the garden and watching the match on a huge...

「Loved the swimming pool, that’s the main reason I booked this hotel, however it was very warm, too warm to do much swimming. Our room was lovely and clean, if not a little dated.
