「This is a wonderful friendly, family pub. We had the good fortune to book off-season and the hotel/room type accommodation was of a very high standard. How many places offer fresh milk in the fridge for your Nespresso (4 varieties to choose from), or have a high quality TV that works well, great ?home-made shortbread. - not many. The restaurant is a go-to in the immediate area (of well-heeled discerning people) so supper and breakfast were both great - though I don't know what cooked would have...

「The staff in the bar and at check in were super friendly and helpful. The room was really lovely. Roomy, comfortable, good size tv and large en-suite bathroom. Quiet, warm and lovely biscuits in the room. Best of all the mattress was soooooo comfortable. We had lunch in the bar which was yummy too. Would highly recommend staying and eating at The Tawny Owl. 」

「There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. 」

「We stopped for a single night and was amazed at the service we received, shown to our room and was very surprised on the size of out room....It was Huge. Breakfast the next morning was made to order and a good array of item for breakfast, staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.」

「We were very surprised to find a small and beautiful town named Lechlade nearby. And it is 45 hours' drive to Cotswold which was quite acceptable. However the room was not tidy enough but still in the acceptable range.」
