「The onsens were dated and not well maintained, and the ground floor indoor bath was quite dark and I was almost tripped off at the stair. The entire hotel was very spacious and most areas were clean and nice. But somehow everything felt a bit lacking something compared to most of its peer hotels like the garden maintenance or the staff friendliness/enthusiasm. 」

「This ryokan was beautiful with a spacious room and great mountain views. The onsen was particularly nice with indoor and outdoor mineral baths, a cold plunge, and a sauna. There was also a private shower in our room if you aren’t interested in the onsen experience. The half board was good but served traditional local Japanese food - great for the adventurous eater but it may not be for everyone.
