Sul Villas is an absolutely gorgeous hotel. The property is perfectly situated in Lagoa with an amazing view over the ocean and cliffs of São Miguel. The staff is incredibly friendly and the services, including breakfast, are top notch. You couldn't ask for a more perfect place to stay to experience the Azores.

We loved the privacy , cleanliness, and hospitality while staying at this property. The staff went out of their way to create a cake for my boyfriend’s birthday and brought champagne to the room! Overall, loved the views and location of the property! Would recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing stay in Sao Miguel!

Great location, wonderful breakfast and superhelpful staff. We traveled with our 22 month old for 9 days and we were treated very well and most importantly the staff took care of our daughter's needs and were very patient. We stayed in the VIP Villa above the reception and had an incredible view and room for 3 nights and then spent 6 nights in the Family Villa which was so spacious and comfortable for us and my parents who joined us. We had some issues with our room but the staff took care of them immediately and ensured we were happy through the whole stay. I highly recommend staying here!

Great hotel and staff. The location is perfect - middle of the island, so close to all sides. The hotel is super clean and common areas are very nice. We didn't use the pool due to the weather, but it looked great. Amazing views from everywhere, including the rooms. Breakfast is one of the best we had anywhere. High quality and unlimited quantity. Parking is perfect and plentiful. Best of all is the staff at the hotel. Super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Highly recommend!

This was an amazing place to stay for our honeymoon. We stayed in a prime suite and it was wonderful. Private balcony and jacuzzi with an ocean view. Comfortable bed, robes, and beautiful bathroom and living space. Mini bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. The included breakfast was gourmet and limitless. We also chose to have dinner at the hotel and it was also excellent. Staff helped us with dinner reservations at other places and tips for nearby activities. Every bit of this property feels luxurious and well cared for. Highly recommend!

A family of four, we stayed in the "Village" for five nights and it was absolutely amazing (and enormous). With three bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, a private pool and hot tub and a great view, we were blown away. When a planned excursion was cancelled on our last full day in Sao Miguel we were excited to sit tight and enjoy the "room" a bit more. The hotel itself is wonderful. It's like a calm oasis tucked into a quaint Azorean neighborhood. The staff was incredibly pleasant, the restaurant was excellent and the location was very convenient. We were able to head to Furnas, Ponta Delgada and even Ponta da Ferraria very easily.

Buenas habitaciones con vista al mar. En nuestro caso (noviembre) teníamos el spa para nosotros solos todos los dias. Esta situado en un pueblo cerca de la capital, con buenos restaurantes a los que puedes ir a pie, o si no cenar en el suyo propio que esta muy bien. También conectas facilmente con la carretera principal. Como mejora, creo que estaria bien que dispusieran de secador todas las habitaciones, no me hizo falta pero es algo que suele pedirse.

We stayed in one of the Prime rooms at this hotel and were very pleased with the accommodations. A large balcony, hot tub and a gorgeous view. Restaurant was also good. Staff very friendly. The property is small compared to other accommodations on the island given its location but it is designed well given its space limitations. Overall a good value.
