“The pool area was very nice, and the staff was polite and friendly. The hotel was very clean. However, the rooms were really lacking! We had to change rooms because the TV didn’t work, the bed creaked, and the mini- fridge rattled constantly. The second room also lacked color, the furniture was dated, the bed creaked loudly, the towels were really thin, and there were no tissues, shower cap, or shower gel. “More toilet paper in the room would be helpful. Soap next to the bathroom sink would also be nice. My wife reported wet sheets in her bed, so she moved into my bed (I'm not complaining). At 8:15 am, the fire alarm in our room went off. We were sleeping. It is an understatement to say that this was startling. The good news is there was no fire. I look at a trip to South Bass Island as an adventure, so all of this was part of the adventure.”

“I have stayed at a dozen properties around Put In Bay and I can say without a doubt, the Anchor Inn is the best place I have found. Close to downtown, reasonably priced for the quality and service, cleanliness of the room and property, quality of the breakfast and food offerings, thoughtful touches throughout the room and lobby.
