「Colin is a lovely host. Both full and continental breakfasts were excellent. Lovely bedding. Very comfortable B&B」

「We had a wonderful stay in this real southern Lake District gem of a cottage – thank you Jules (and Alistair)! It's even lovelier than the photos show! Almost any facilities and extras you could want or need were already provided, with such care and attention to detail across all the areas. If there had been anything missing or not quite right (which there wasn't), then a quick ask would be all that's needed. Easy to contact and on hand with any queries – Jules kindly messaged to let us know...

「Very clean and tidy place with friendly staff.」

「Seemed to have no house keeping services. Stayed for three nights and the room was never cleaned once, even after we requested it. Construction outside started at 8 am right in front of our room.」

「We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there」

In addition, it was quite noisy in the morning, which made it difficult to rest properly. On a more positive note, the restaurant staff were excellent. They were very friendly, welcoming, and provided great service, which was definitely a highlight of my stay. Overall, while the staff made a good...

「Philips, the star of the hotel! Great experience here! Really nice staff and awesome view!」

「Lovely room. We booked the dog friendly room and we had dog bowls, and a doggy treat pack including toy, treats & poo bags. Nice little touch! Great food as always, lovely full English breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.」

「Very comfy stay, excellent and friendly service by staff, the breakfast is amazing. Bathroom is clean and with huge bath tub. It is truly a gem in Windermere. Highly recommended!」
