“Positive: penthouse rooms are good for families. Gym is very good for a hotel. Negatives: pictures are somewhat misleading: there isn’t really a hot tub; the one in the pictures is the same temp as the pool and the one in the spa is like a tepid bath. Breakfast is ridiculous, you get to stand in line everyday for about 20 min while they act surprised that they have customers and when they say breakfast ends at 10, that is a lie. They start clearing all the food away whenever it pleases the staff……

“My second stay here and it surpassed the high bar set by my previous stay. Got checked in by the manager who had just started there. I got a really nice room with a very high finish in décor which instantly put me in a relaxed mood. After finishing my admin, I went on the same 1 hour walk using the same route which takes me through the town centre. It is such a lovely town to walk around. The shower was amazing and allowed me to settle in for a great night's sleep. Breakfast was so much better……

“This is an old style cottage in a rural setting, which does'nt have the best access, however once there the location is surrounded by woodland and fields which are pleasant. The Lady of the house is a charming individual who was welcoming.
The breakfast catered for dietary needs and was wholesome.
In general a comfortable stay with no frills, but enjoyable none the less.
We would use Bridge Cottage again if we visited the area.”
