“Do not stay at Purple Lizard Villa. The photos in the listing did not accurately represent the room we were given. We arrived late at night to a property with zero outdoor lighting — it was completely pitch black. As two women traveling alone, this immediately felt unsafe. Inside, there were broken and missing bathroom blinds with no privacy, black residue on multiple walls, and most alarming, a front door lock that was not secure. The entire lock mechanism swiveled 180 degrees. We did not……

“The hot tub was nice. Regulated times was a surprise. Yes we did. Enjoy the hot tub when we were able to get in it.. The kitchen was adequate. Unable to make ice. The ice machine did not work and there were no ice cube trays for us to make our own ice. Coffee maker turned on, but would not brew coffee. The remote controls for the TV and DVD player did not work properly. We replaced the batteries with the same outcome. The towels are ready to be retired to oil rags. Other than that, everything……

“My girlfriend and I were able to check into the property but were not happy with the cleanliness of the room. It was tidy and picked up but felt dirty. I found a dead cockroach on the ground and we decided to book another room elsewhere. We spent about 15 minutes in the room before leaving. ”

“It was great, the only thing that was frustrating not having control of the Ac, had to text them to many times to cool the room where I was in plus I know is a pet free suite didn’t like dog hair all over me need to do a great clean after a pet stay. ”
