“The room is clean and the host is eager to provide service. Location wise, it is not close to city center or tourist attractions. There is one restaurant that you can order take out. All in all, it's good value for the money.”

The receptionist didn't provide any instructions on wifi, maybe there wasn't any. This hotel is located in the downtown area of puerto plata which very noisy through out the night with motorcycles driving by through out the night.”

“We've just returned from a stay at El Encuentro Surf Lodge and honestly we're already thinking about when we can go back. This place was recommended by friends who are frequent guests and now we completely understand why. Our room was spacious with a beautiful interior, and the whole property is exceptionally well maintained.
