Conveniently located just outside central Montezuma. The only reason for the one star reduction was the extreme heat and bugs inside Villa #2. At check in, the villa was well over 95°F with doors and windows closed and no AC running. Opening everything only made it hotter. The cement construction trapped heat……

“I traveled with my wife and two kids. The property is just in front of the beach and you are surrounded by jungle. The rooms are excellent, the staff is amazing and the food was delicious. It is very private and you can walk through amazing trails to nearby beaches. There is parking on site. Do consider driving a 4x4 so you can get all the way to the hotel as there is a short drive on sand before reaching the property. If not, no worries, you can leave your car in the hotel Sano Banano, and……

“Beautiful resort, HOWEVER, if you aren't an entomologist you might not like your stay here. The doors don't seal, the windows don't seal, the outdoor shower doesn't seal, and that results in every bug and small animal in your villa. That is unacceptable for a "4 star" resort. While it wasn't the end of the world for us, having a June bug fly in your hair while in bed can be very unnerving or the squawk of a lizard on the ceiling at 3am can be annoying. We're not talking about a little gecko……
