Montara State Beach Hotels

"This was the cutest place we have stayed. It was across from the beach and right down the road from the town. It has no elevator so keep that in mind. They had coffee, tea and water in the lobby at all times and a Keurig in our room. The property was beautiful and the staff was so nice and accommodating. There are decks out front to enjoy the ocean view. Our room was extremely clean and very nicely decorated. Plenty of parking and a quiet street. We will definitely stay here again."

"Very nice property with plenty of space for a larger group. Having the en suite bathrooms was a real perk for our group and made for family harmony so that my adult children didn’t need to share. We especially enjoyed the proximity to cypress trees and the tidal pools. We saw sea urchins, anemones, a starfish, crab, and harbor seals. So much fun!"

"We had a great stay, bed was comfortable, place was clean, although the pillows seemed a bit flat. The host was quick at replying to questions. The host made sure we felt safe and had what we needed. The only thing we didn’t care for was the stability of the WiFi at the place and the area. "

"Overall, we had a great stay and felt the property was a good value for the price. The place is small and cozy, but very comfortable and well-equipped. It had all the amenities we needed—dishes, soap, towels, and everything for a convenient stay.One of the highlights was the setting. There are beautiful mountain views and even a partial ocean view, which made the location feel really special. We also loved how close it was to hiking trails, which my husband and our dog really enjoyed, and it’s not far from the beach either. There were also several great places to eat nearby, which made exploring the area easy and fun.The main downside was that the fire pit in the yard was broken. It would have been amazing to sit outside in the morning with coffee or enjoy hot cocoa by the fire at night. Some lighting in the yard would also make the outdoor space much more enjoyable after dark. Another small disappointment was that not all of the windows could be opened—we would have loved to let in the ocean air and fall asleep to the sound of the waves.That said, the place itself was comfortable and thoughtfully stocked. It’s ideal for two people, though a third could probably use the sofa bed if needed. Overall, it was a cozy, pleasant place to stay and we really enjoyed our time there.Already talking about booking out next staycation getaway here. "

"The home was exceptionally clean and cozy. The layout was perfect for all 8 of us. The kitchen was well equipped. We had one issue with a wall heater that was promptly addressed by the owner. The location was fabulous. There are terrific hiking trails within walking distance, and the gorgeous Montara Beach is just a short walk away. It was a perfect getaway!"
