Quaint nastalgic cabin with bedrooms for two couples. Small kitchen with gas stove. Small living area with electric fireplace. Not a wood stove as pictured. Jack and Jill full bath with shower newly remodeled between bedrooms. 1/2bath in 2nd bedroom. The only hanging closet was in 2nd bedroom. No dresser in second bedroom. Main bedroom with king bed has a very small narrow dresser. No closet.The staff at the front desk was helpful when they were there. Lovely double Dutch front door. Great location can walk to most of Carmel.

We booked a two-bedroom suite, which is the whole 2nd floor. The suite was very quiet, so we had excellent sleep. Parking in the area is understandably tight, but our suite had a dedicated parking spot, which was very convenient for us. Overall, it was very good experience for us for a one-night stay in Carmel by the Sea.

Lovely stay with my son right near downtown Carmel, very walkable to beach and restaurants, good value for price including parking. Easy drive down the coast to Big Sur and Point Lobos. Only downside was the roof construction going on during our stay which we don’t know would be going on, I would come back but ask in advance about any construction.

The room is just as is pictured. It's small, but we used it just for sleeping. It's The in a pretty good location, which is a bonus. The room was clean, but it does smell a bit old. The parking spots are pretty tight, but others have mentioned that already.

This was my 2nd stay at Briarwood Inn and I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Carmel.There were 4 of us in the penthouse for a girls trip. We loved having 2 rooms with big beds as well as 2 bathrooms! Having the living room to hang out in was perfect. We loved having an assigned parking space, so you always know you have a spot. The location is absolutely perfect! So quiet, and walking distance to everything. Cannot recommend Briarwood Inn enough.

The bed was hard, and it had a plastic mattress pad. The small refrigerator was inside the only closet. The bathroom had water damage above the sink, the shower head was gross. All windows were dirty. The shades were flimsy and the street light kept us up

We stayed in the cottage. Two of our group were very unsettled by sleeping with windows open, as there are no screens. They come from an urban background, so having such easy access to the interior space was the issue. Keeping windows open was important as there is no air conditioning. Other than that, life there was fine and comfortable.
