“This resort was amazing. The hotel staff were so friendly, we loved all of the pools, loved the spa and restaurants. The view of the volcano was amazing from our room. We celebrated our 25th anniversary here and it could not have been better. They upgraded our room and gave us a bottle of wine. The massage I had here was the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely stay here again!”

“The house and properly are very beautiful. The hot tub water was a little stale at first but once we had it open and jets flowing it was fine. The rooms are great size with clean beds. House was plenty furnished. Gate with code to get on property so plenty safe with an easy driveway and parking area. Would definitely stay again and recommend.”

After seeing several other properties around La Fortuna during tour pickups, nothing came close to the serenity, luxury, and overall atmosphere of this place. “The staff was so friendly, and it was an exquisitely beautiful setting. If you have mobility issues, this is not your place - the stairs are steep, and getting to the loft is with a straight up ladder - but if you can deal with the stairs you'll be fine, and it would be an amazing place for a family with kids. The road down to the river is well-maintained, and I enjoyed the relaxed hooting of the howler monkeys on my walk.”

“What a unique place. Really cool landscape. The view is perfection. Food was fantastic. Beer was fantastic. It is such a unique place. We did really enjoy our time there, though short. Would have been an epic place 20 years ago when the skate park, tennis courts, arcade game, and air hockey were all in usable condition. “Our room was clean, beds were comfortably firm. The bathroom could have used a light fixture closer to the sink/mirror, as half your face was in shadow when shaving. The exterior light above the door did not work, making the entry a bit dark. The food was exceptional at the restaurant. “We stayed in a villa and it was excellent. Plenty of space, clean, comfortable bed. The grounds were like paradise. We enjoyed reading and listening to the birds in the hammock area and enjoyed a little swim in the pool. North fields coffee tour is right beside the hotel which was convenient! We had a car which was helpful to get into town. We walked from town once which took maybe 40 minutes. We would stay here again!”
