Harris Apartment

The Harris Apartment offers a fantastic central location just off Montrose High Street meaning it's close at all amenities such as restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets, shops, public transport and a cinema just off our door step! ​ The property sleeps up to 4 and benefits from gas central heating as well as double glazing. It comprises of a spacious open plan lounge/kitchen with a double sofa bed, a double bedroom and bathroom.

Please note the Harris Apartment is accessed via a door on Murray Street that leads directly to a set of stairs. Inside the apartment, a further set of stairs leads to the bedroom and bathroom. The second set of stairs are quirky, narrower and steeper than usual, due to being located in an older listed building.

There are lots of lovely towns and villages nearby to visit such as Ferryden, Johnshaven, Brechin, and Arbroath, or if you fancy a spot of shopping you can even visit Aberdeen or Dundee.

Ferryden is a small fishing village sat on the edge of Montrose that has a few lovely walking routes. The most popular being the beautiful walk to Scurdieness Lighthouse. You maybe lucky enough to see some dolphins or seals on your journey.

Montrose has 2 golf courses. One is a classic links course in the 1562 championship, where golf has been played for 460 years making it the 5th oldest in the world.

You can also visit Montrose Basin or the Montrose Air Station. The Air Station has an amazing history to tell, becoming the first operational military air station in Great Britain when it was established in February 1913.

Montrose is lucky to have a community owned luxury cinema, The Montrose Playhouse, with 3 screens and a café bar just a short 5 minute walk from the apartment.

The closest bus stops can be found on Montrose High Street just a few minutes walk from the apartment. The Montrose bus service operates vast routes which can take you to local towns and villages such as Brechin, Arbroath, Dundee, Stonehaven, Aberdeen, Ferryden, Johnshaven, Gourdon and Inverbervie to name but a few.

Montrose has a railway station just a short 10 minute walk from the apartment and has excellent links to both up north as well as down south.

There is time limited on street parking however there are two long stay car parks just a short walk away. They are currently free but Angus council may reintroduce parking charges.
