Norfolk Moses Myers House Hotels

"A wholly adequate, unremarkable hotel that is within walking distance of downtown. It's an older hotel that is well maintained but short on amenities. $15.00 to park in their lot. um...OK. Room was nice, clean & comfortable but wow, there were some noisy guests that night. On-site restaurant seemed closed during our stay which is fine but....odd. Would we stay again? Eh, I think we'll spend a few more bucks and get something a bit more accommodating and guest friendly."

"The room was clean and bug free"

"Someone didn't like me using that room and left a used condom right outside my door around 6 pm. It remained there, untouched, as of 7 am the next morning. Staff was great and had wonderful dining suggestions for people coming from out of town."

"Our shower door had a loose hinge, mold growth on the adhesive that previously secured the soap bottles, and a non-functional handheld shower head. Additionally, black mold was present in the sink's overflow. All other aspects were satisfactory. I believe the absence of a bathroom vent may have contributed to some of the mold issues. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming."

"the room was nice. the view of the harbor was pretty cool. the staff was nice and helpful. and the hotel is in a good location so there was a lot to do within walking distance. but i ended up with a faulty toilet. maintenance came by to look into but i was not in the room at the time so im not sure how that went... i just know we ended up using the one downstairs in the lobby primarily. we also were given a set of towels that had clearly visible blood stains on them. so i didn't care for that."

"Everything was great"

"This was no fault of the hotel staff but when we arrived, some guests were too close to the front door smoking Marijuana. I didn't see it but everyone could smell it. The hotel could use some renovations as we saw water damage on the walls in our room and the inner part of the bath tub was peeling/flaking. The shower's water pressure was terrible. We had double beds and thank goodness because the sheets had black stains on one bed. Hotel staff was amazing, very helpful and personable."

"Breakfast was expensive and inconvenient. Had to be ordered at the "bistro" counter and picked up. There was no bar. I had booked it with Expedia, which was fine, but it took way too long to check in. The staff was staring at the computer and typing and clicking for at least 15 minutes just for me. Parking in the nearby public garage was $13/day. The hotel does not have its own garage, and no voucher was offered for free parking, so I had to pay $25 for valet parking. The location was good, within 10 minutes walking distance to the marina and cheap regular ferry trips across the river to other interesting historical sites."

"Great place in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The apartment had everything we needed for the weekend. It's cozy and spacious."
