“Sign board of Annex building is not clear. Luckily the male staff came out from main building, guiding me (car) to Annex building. He is very friendly and enthusiastic to introduce onsen inside hotel. This is a very old hotel over 200 years. Room furniture is very old. Light is dark. I was a bit scare in the room and switched on the lights to sleep. Another scarring matter was the insect inside blanket. I killed it by shoes. “The cottage has everything a family needs but the communications around check-in was very poor and hotels.com's customer service was unwilling to provide any assistance. I would have thought some level of quality control helped justify hotels.com's commission. Either way, the cottage is managed by the building next door and this is where you need to go to collect the key. ”

“The young owners of this property are very sweet, kind and really try to be helpful. They seemed that had not quite got the hang of being proprietors, but they are very likable.
Compared to other places we stayed cluttered with not quite the same and amenities.
The owner was very helpful when we got stuck in snow bank during a snowstorm via messages. If you get a chance, listen to Echo play the piano ”
