"We were double booked into the house we had paid for but we were taken to a different one around the corner. For the price we paid it was adequate and clean. Sharing a bathroom with 3 lads who had also been double booked into the same house was not too much of a problem and having a fully functioning clean kitchen helped to catering costs reasonable. "

"Firstly no information on how to enter the property. Had to do an online search to find a contact number to speak the vendor. Who then gave us a passcode and what keypad to use to get access. Wardrobe within the room, had the right hand door hanging open on one hinge, with the top doors completely off. Tv in the room would not work unless connected to one of the devices. Whilst appreciating that it was a shared communal space which we did not use. Other residents were very loud . "

"The accomodation was not as advertised. It was so bad we had to book alternative accomodation elsewhere. So far we have no way of seeking a refund, so we do not recommend Hotels.com to anyone ever! "

"One day before my family's planned arrival, I received a call from the operator's husband to say there was no hot water and he wanted to give me the opportunity to book an alternative stay. I understood this to mean a refund would be given in this event. It was late to book elsewhere so initially my family agreed to go regardless but as no further communication was forthcoming despite several attempts I booked elsewhere. "This property seems very good for short stays, its just around the railway station and close to an Aldi's. The only thing I didn't like is that they have a washer but not a dryer. Apart from that, we really liked our stay at the Grand Station!"

"Without a doubt I would stay here again. There was some confusion around information given by two different members of staff in respect of the 'complimentary swim' which was disappointing but the restaurant was outstanding and more than made up for that. The food was seriously delicious, the staff in the bar and the waitress service were very helpful and friendly which made for a wonderful evening meal and breakfast experience. Sadly I did not have time to sample the delights of the 'spa', but maybe I shall fit that in on my next visit to the area."

"The service from the restaurant staff is impeccable. They are trained to a very high standard and we appreciate that attention to detail. We ordered from the Indian food menu and it was delicious with wine recommended by the server. Details that matter such as clean windowsills and soft furnishings and the small leisure centre This is the second stay and we will visit again"

"I had a short, but nice stay at the Village Hotel. The room was nice and clean and the staff was extremely nice. I flew in from the US and brought the wrong type of voltage adapter with me. The gentleman at the front desk was kind enough to lend me a cell phone charger, which really saved the day. Great hotel! "
