Many great snorkeling adventures in Hilo make great day trips. Check out the Tuesday night traditional Hawaiian music at the Hilo Town Tavern. 」

If you want a home away from the tourists you are right. Awaiting luxury and quietness, go in a hotel. It’s a normal neighborhood with chicken, dogs and everything else. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I will say that I did not notice the bathroom is kind of open air, so just a heads up for others that may not be fully comfortable with that.」
