"So glad we chose to book a suite. A lovely room blending modern convenience with classical features. Large, comfortable and clean. Also surprisingly quiet for a central Rome location. The hotel could not be better placed for exploring all of Rome's historic sites."

"Room was clean, staff were helpful. Breakfast was ok, local area was ok. The door lock was temperamental when trying to get into the room and the view from the window was nothing to be desired. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Smeraldo. We arrived before noon. The hotel offered to hold our luggage until the room was ready. Staff offered us coffee during the check in process. They gave us a map and circled the areas we were interested in. The hotel is centrally located in the historical center. Everything is in walking distance. We booked a small room and it was small. The room was clean and looked newly renovated. The bathroom was modern and luxurious. Everything about this hotel was elevated. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Hot and cold foods, fresh fruit, eggs, meats, fresh bakery, etc. They had breakfast staff that took our coffee orders. The front lobby was always manned by several friendly helpful staff. We stayed 4 nights and would not hesitate to return. "

"Breakfast was excellent! Staff was top-notch. We were there in March but it was already warm. Unfortunately, the A/C wasn’t on yet, so it was a bit warm but we made it work opening the windows although that let in some noise. "

"Hotel room was very nice with a good choice for breakfast, and when having an early start they prepared a breakfast pack. Our air conditioning wasn't working the first 2 nights but the staff sorted it after we let them know. The WiFi was a bit slow. "

"Room has got everything for a modern traveller. Kettle and USB charger even a work desk and nice juliet balcony. Only thing was the instant coffee provide was only for one use. We prefer two sets one in the afternoon and evening. Room was clean and towels were too. "
