「Staff are very friendly including the restaurant staff. This hotel represents good value for money and is comfortable. You can hear the trains in certain parts of the hotel which is mentioned in the hotel description, we stay at the weekend so it wasn’t really an issue but during the week I would opt for a room at the other side of the hotel which is clear when booking a room. If in the area would stay again.」

「What a great find! Visiting the area for a gig & decided to have 2 nights away. The Great House was a last minute booking but what a wonderful place! Idylic riverside setting in a small village with lovely bar & restaurant. Staff were all very friendly, from the lady who greeted us at reception & upgraded our room to the fabulous housekeeping - the lady with the ted hair deserves a special mention as we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her!!! 「A lovely country house hotel. Our room was very spacious with an outside patio where we enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine. The bathroom was large with a bath and a shower. We ate in the “Tasting Room” and very much enjoyed the tasting menu. The area outside the hotel has pleasant area with tables and chairs which we enjoyed as it was a warm sunny day. The hotel is quite expensive, but we thought it worth the money. The spa was OK, small and a little tired but we enjoyed our swim in the pool....

「Great room, with lots of extras - mini fridge with fresh milk and cold water, coffee maker, good selection of teas/coffees/biscuits, Dyson fan, lovely toiletries. Comfortable bed.
