"I’ll start review with the fact that my husband and I are very well traveled. He’s @ 50 counties and I’m in the mid 30s. So we’ve stayed in our share of hotels around the world. We look for the perfect combo of cost, location and cleanliness. This property hit all three perfectly. We had an interior room without window. This doesn’t work for everyone but we spend very little time in our hotel rooms. It was small but efficient. The hotels nightly wine and cheese was fabulous and only out done by its staff. Every employee we interacted with was exceptional and this is a rarity, in my experience. We would definitely stay here again should we return to Bath!! Thanks for a great weekend!"

"The overall appearance and experience within the hotel was excellent. The staff were good and helpful even if the barman made for awkward company. Sadly the spa facilities were a bit hit and miss with the sauna not really being up to temperature and the steam room being intermittent with its operation. This would’ve been okay if guests had unlimited spa hours and we could’ve worked around. But with only two 2 hour slots in the day within which to use the spa and for those two hour slots to be intermittent because of the immunity time it was slightly disappointing but a good stay nonetheless."

"We found this stunning hotel right in the centre of Bath while browsing the Expedia web site. We never dreamed it would be this good. The friendly reception staff greeted us with a warm welcome and were eager to make our stay memorable. This historic Georgian hotel had just opened after 3 years of extensive renovation and it was superb on every level...from the tasteful elegant decor and reimagined period features, to the large comfortable beds and brand new bathrooms, the attention to every detail was noticeable. We appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea bar with cold drinks in our room overlooking the park. We loved hanging out at the 1748 Bar and Lounge and enjoyed an excellent breakfast, salad for lunch and after dinner drinks. The location was perfect for the walking and bus tours and very near the train station. I would definitely come back again. Thank you!"

"I love the Kennard. I stayed there last year and returned again. The staff are very helpful. Bridget the receptionist helped me with restaurants to go and eat and spas to go to. The breakfast was eat as much as you like with wide selection of coffee and tea. My room was very clean and I love the garden"

"The property is historic and is decorated accordingly. Breakfast was lovely. Please note, there are NO king beds in this hotel-even though Expedia sold me a room for one. Also, the lift or elevator NOT working- apparently for several weeks now. Inquire as to whether it’s been repaired if you have trouble with steps as there may be many. Lighting fixtures in room need updating. Most staff very nice, especially Tim. Tub in Room 201 is fantastic but door needs to be replaced- extremely difficult to open and damaged on inside. Being on back side of hotel v street side is preferred as there is construction on Manvers. Excellent location near train. Very walkable to stores and historical sites. Cheers!"
