A delightful, bright 70m2 apartment on the 5th floor of a beautiful Haussmanian building with pleasant balconies overlooking Beaubourg-le Marais and Tour Saint-Jacques.

A few minutes walk from the Louvre, the Town Hall, the Montorgueil district, the Picasso Museum, the Jewish District , or the Latin Quarter, the Forum des Halles, you can also be seduced by the Jazz Clubs, the multiples cafes and restaurants serving cuisines from all over the country, numerous shops for shopping, supermarkets and the picturesque Marché Montorgueil, the last vestige of what was, according to Zola, the Belly of Paris, the district of Les Halles where one still serves Onion Soup 24 hours a day.

The apartment:
- a master bedroom with a 160 cm queen size bed, with a nice balcony
- a large living room with a comfortable sofa bed for two people with a balcony
- a dining room, for 8 with double glazed windows looking upon a delicious La BOHEME-like backyard
- an open kitchen completely equipped looking upon the backyard
- a shower room and a separate toilet.

The whole apartment has double glazing. The entrance of the building is equipped with a digital code and a videophone which makes this building extremely safe.

Excellent Apartment

The apartment is lovely and well equipped, though a bit difficult in a heat wave. Sylvie is friendly and helpful, if firm in her policies. An excellent base of operations in Paris, though some of the foot traffic from Les Halles is less desirable.

Everything you need in Paris

What a fabulous place to stay! With two adults and two teenagers we had more than enough room, but in this area you won't be in the room often. There is so much to do once you walk out the front door and transit is mere minutes away. We spent nine days in this wonderful part of Paris and Sylvie was an extraordinary host! She gave us tips when we arrived and helped with restaurant suggestions. She is absolutely wonderful full of helpful information. We absolutely loved the area, the beautiful accommodations and there was plenty of shopping to keep our teens happy when they got a little tired of all the wonderful bakeries and buildings to see! Without hesitation we would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

The Heart of Paris

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. The location was terrific - close to Ile de la Cite, metro, trains, and all the cafes and restaurants in Les Halles. The apartment was wonderfully maintained, furnished and fully stocked with more than all of the essentials. Sylvie, our host, couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful with offers to call cabs and. recommend restaurants. We would look forward to staying here again!

Such a lucky find

This apartment was everything we wanted: the absolute most perfect location, a completely charming old-world Parisian-style building, and the feeling of being in the home of a stylish intellectual -- with full bookshelves and lovely art. In addition, our host was right next door anytime we needed anything. Highly recommend.

Cosy apartment in the center of Paris

Our family had a wonderful time here and enjoyed walking to restaurants and nearby shops, and easy access to the subway and bus lines for trips to many tourist sites. The apartment had everything we needed, including a clothes washing and drying machine and a large selection of DVD movies for the kids, which allowed my wife and I to relax. Sylvie, the owner, made us feel at home and was very responsive and easy to talk to. It is a very short distance from restaurants, bakeries, shopping, the Louvre, Musée de l'Orangerie, the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, and the Arc de Triomphe. We also took day trips to the Palace of Versailles, Mont Saint-Michel, and Normandy. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this location for your stay in Paris!

Perfect Apartment!

Sylvie is a fabulous host! It was important to her that we were comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The apartment was perfect for my family. It was clean, spacious and had a full kitchen. Several metro stations nearby made is so easy to visit all parts of Paris. There are dozens of restaurants just steps away as well as markets and a mall. We will definitely stay here again!

Great flat!

Well-located 1-BR flat (with an extra daybed AND a sofa that pulls out, both in the living room) with a lovely host who speaks great English. The flat has all the amenities you could want and is super clean and feels very safe. It's protected from start noise, which was wonderful. The down sides for us were a bit of noise from the upstairs neighbors (maybe kids running around / playing) - though it didn't keep us awake — and also a lack of good seating: the kitchen chairs / bench weren't comfortable, and the couch was so-so (but if you have someone sleeping in the living room, it’s hard to use anyway). For the price, we would have liked better furniture for recovery after a long day of walking :)

Fantastic location, great apartment!

Superbly equipped and decorated apartment (our daughter loved all the books). There was lots of light and fresh air even though Europe was experiencing a major heat wave. The front balcony doors needed to be closed at night to block out the noise but Sylvie provided fans which made sleeping comfortable. The size of the apartment was great for a family 4 with teenagers. Sylvie was a very attentive and responsive host. Would definitely recommend it and we would stay there again.

Authentic Paris experience

A beautiful, quiet, well-equipped apartment in the heart of Paris. The many large windows flood the space with light. Outside every window a profusion of flowers grow. The long balcony looks out over the treetops of the boulevard below and across the rooftops. There is a thoughtful collection of books, with many volumes of art, architecture and history, as well as an extensive dvd collection. The library and decore show an artist’s touch, and Sylvie is indeed an artist, being a highly accomplished musician and voice teacher. Restaurants, boulangeries, gelateries, trains, and shopping are only steps away. The location is perfect for exploring Paris. Sylvie was a great host, easy to contact and quickly responsive to any questions or requests we had. This was our third time in Paris (our first time with three young kids) and we were very pleased with our experience here. Thank you, Sylvie!

Sylvie was the perfect host giving us a great introduction to the area with recommendations on food, entertainment and more. The apartment had everything and was large enough for our family with two teenagers to be comfortable. We had everything from coffee to spices and she even brought us fresh milk. Love this place

I love this place. It’s a gem in Paris. The owner is absolutely one of the loveliest women in Paris. The house is very comfortable and has everything you’ll need for a perfect Parisian vacation. The view out the terrace is phenomenal. It’s so charming that we didn’t want to leave. Everything is close by - the metro, grocery store, bank, night life. Amazing Stay!

Our Paris visit was incredible! Many thanks to Sylvie for providing a beautiful, well equipped and centrally located apartment. It truly enhanced our stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated, has a large kitchen with everything you need and the location can’t be beat. We were able to do so much thanks to its location near the metro and taxi service (when needed). Sylvie assisted with restaurant reservations, local market information, and was very attentive to any needs that may arise (though we really didn’t have any due to her attention to detail upon check-in). The neighborhood is lively and everything you desire just footsteps away (shops, cafes, fine restaurants, jazz club, food market…the list goes on). There is street noise below but expected due to being in the heart of the city. The windows are amazing as they blocked out all the noise when closed. We slept well and enjoyed our home base. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We had a superb stay at Sylvie’s apartment right on the border of the Ist and 4th Arrondisements. So many fine restaurants and stores near the Metro hub Chatelet/Les Halles. Sylvie is a fine hostess who helped us on numerous occasions. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet, elevator reliable, and wi-fi excellent throughout our eight night stay. Everything fully met our expectations and then some!

A Charming Parisian Retreat

The fifth-floor apartment is a lovely, spacious place with high ceilings and intricate plastered moldings. The French doors open on the Boulevard de Sebastopol in the living room and the one bedroom which access a narrow terrace with two chairs and table. Sylvie’s eye to decoration is wonderful with interesting artwork on all the walls, books everywhere, oriental rugs on the floors and a baby grand piano in the living room. The atmosphere is inviting, warm and very comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need and was spotlessly clean as was the entire place as well as the building’s entrance hall and central spiral staircase. It is conveniently located near many food shops, cafes and the Les Halles shopping district. Sylvie is a delightful host and couldn’t have been more kind or concerned that our stay was anything but good and charming. If the chance would arise, I would stay with her again.

Perfect Parisien Holiday

We couldn’t have asked more for an apartment in Paris. Beautiful place with all the amenities you could need. Centrally located so most places are walkable. The metro is very close and is a central hub so getting anywhere is easy. Sylvie is so incredible - she made sure she was there to welcome us and show us where everything was. She has tons of information in the apartment regarding Paris. She arranged taxis for us, made dinner reservations for us and offered help immediately whenever we had a question or problem. Anniversary celebration

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Sylvie's property had plenty of room for us and our 2 teenage daughters, and was well stocked with many amenities. Sylvie was happy to answer any questions we might have, and made us feel right at home. She had organized a booklet with great information about her building (how to access the internet, where to dispose of garbage, and recycling) and which shops and restaurants were good in the area. The location of this property was excellent with great access to the Metro, shops and of course great restaurants. This trip was a celebration of our 20-year anniversary and we are so happy to have stayed at Sylvie's place. We couldn't have asked for a better host.
