"Maybe it was just this weekend, with basketball and volleyball tournaments, and teams staying at the hotel, but the place was hectic, the elevator broke down (I had to walk down 20 flights of stairs to meet up with my family), and they didn't clean the room. I have always been happy with Sonesta hotels, but I won't come back to this one."

"paid for a room upgrade to a two bedroom suite.  Only to be told at check-in that the resort overbooked the two bedroom suites and my upgrade which was paid for a week earlier would no longer be honored.  This caused an issue with plans made for guests coming.  They had to scramble and make arrangements for lodging at last minute.  I did not bid on the upgrade I opted to pay the upgrade offer price.  There was no mention of this change until check in.  I feel that this was a real crumby thing to do.   The hotel had no problem getting in touch with me for the “birthday” package and cabana rental but with this they opted to bounce my upgrade for more $$ from another party.  I would recommend not offering such upgrades if the resort will cancel upon demand at any given time.  Very unfortunate.  Room is nice but was not what was booked.   The inconvenience caused and lack of communication on the room change could most definitely have been avoided. Expedia should not offer room upgrades if they will not be honored by the resort if demand for a certain night increases. "

"Everything was great as usual but the first morning the maid just barged in to our room at 830 in the morning and found us in a state of undress. Was not happy about that. "
