"Wildhive is a beautiful hotel. We especially liked its proximity to Ashbourne which is a lovely little town with lots going on, and is an easy 15 minute walk away. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was disappointing, particularly the breakfast. Stay at Wildhive but eat elsewhere."

"I really enjoyed our stay at the lodge and overall we had a very good experience. The inside was above our expectations. The rooms were newly refurbished, clean and comfortable, and the kitchen and dining areas were also really nicely done. The beds were comfortable and everything felt fresh and well looked after. The caretaker was extremely helpful and supportive throughout our stay, and we received really good customer service, which made us feel very welcome. There are just a couple of things that I think could make the experience even better. It would be nice to have some basic refreshments provided, such as tea, coffee and milk, especially for guests arriving after a long journey. The outside of the building could also do with some improvement. We found the property quite difficult to locate at first, as from the outside it looks like an older building and it wasn't immediately obvious that we were in the right place. Better and clearer signage would definitely help. However, once we got inside, we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation. It was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the newly refurbished rooms were lovely. Overall, we had a really nice stay and I would definitely recommend the lodge, particularly for large families, group gatherings and families travelling with children. We would happily stay again."

"Such good value. Excellent welcome pack from the hosts and directions etc. Great location with many walks from the front door and also for visiting the lovely villages and market towns further afield. Property was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for a weeks stay. Lovely private and enclosed garden perfect for our small dog to roam around safely. Cant recommend this place enough, will definately return"

The cottage was clean, warm and well equipped - an added benefit would have been an oven glove.Christine was very friendly and it was a lovely surprise to have welcome goodies waiting for us.
