"Great place just on the beach front. Rooms clean and tidy if not on the older side. There was some modernisation of some villas going on so there was some construction noise. Other than that a great location if you’re staying in Kuta. Beware of the taxi drivers outside of the hotel as we agreed a price and he tried to charge extra once we were at the drop off point."

"We have stayed at the Magani, 4 times now and can only recommend to all. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Everyone raves about the breakfast, but my favourite is the security guys out the front. Always happy and friendly, stop the traffic so you can cross the road, helpful with local information. Big smiles, and a warm greeting every time. Oh, this time we splurged and got a room with a private plunge pool……….yes, yes, yes And don’t let me forget, this time while we were staying, it was my birthday. We didn’t say anything, but at breakfast, to my surprise out comes the staff singing Happy Birthday. They presented me with a piece of tiramisu cake, candle and card. Everyone joined in and wished me happy birthday. It made my day special. Do other hotels do that, without being requested?"

"First of all, I LOVED my stay at the Grand Barong Resort! I stayed for 9 days, and my final rating is a 10/10 (if I could give more, I would, especially because of the staff). My first impression upon arrival was a bit of a shock because the street leading up to it is narrow, but don’t judge a book by its cover! My stay was excellent from start to finish. The whole staff greeted me warmly and was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my time there. The breakfast was delicious, the overall restaurant options were great, and all of my planned activities were close to the hotel, making the location perfect. Again, my stay was absolute perfection!"
