"We loved our stay at Casa do Monte! The house and surrounding gardens were beautiful, and the view of Ilhéu de Vila Franca do Campo from the garden was absolutely breathtaking. The house had everything we needed—the kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary appliances, dishware, and cooking utensils.It was a little chilly during our stay, and the host had thoughtfully provided space heaters for each bedroom, which we really appreciated. Communication with the host was excellent; they promptly answered all of our questions and even suggested activities and great places to eat on the island.On our last day, we had a minor mishap while rushing to the airport. Although we of course took responsibility, we were truly impressed by the host’s professional and courteous response. It was clear they genuinely care about their guests and the experience they provide. We felt well taken care of from start to finish and highly recommend Casa do Monte to anyone visiting the island."

"The place absolutely amazing, even my family from the local area was amazed. We had 3 separate families all staying together in the location and it was no issue at all. Every family basically had their own floor and washroom and the kids loved the hot tub. I can not say enough about the view from every level of the property, absolutely spectacular."

"We stayed here for our first five days in Sao Miguel. Iva was super helpful and friendly, welcoming us on arrival, delivering some nice gifts including tomatoes from her garden. She is quick to respond to questions.The location is great with views north to the mountains and south to the ocean. It is off on a dead end road to cornfields so very peaceful and quiet. The only noise is the occasional moo, neigh or bray of the rotating farm animal crew in the pasture or the little dogs next door. We named them Yip and Yap.Close to town and beautiful beaches, and close to Lagoa Do Fogo (take the shuttle!), and a short drive to Furnas.The streets are steep and narrow in all the small villages. Smaller cars are better!The house is beautiful! Everything new, clean, in order. We are here with my parents and my family of four, and we all had a bed and space to share. Kitchen has everything you need. Washer, dryer, dishwasher make things convenient. Three full bathrooms were great for our large crew.The pool was beautiful, clean, refreshing, and the lights and waterfall made it inviting for evening swimming, too.I highly recommend staying here. You will not regret it!"
