「This is a hotel in a small community on the costal estuary. Not a 5 star Marriott, but you wouldn’t want one in this quaint town.」

「Lovely stay, excellent staff , pleasant and helpful. Food excellent good sized portions at breakfast and dinner. So good to go into a traditional bar with a variety of cask ales. Highly recommend」

「The Sun is a regular place we stay when in Coniston. Staff are great, rooms are good and the location is perfect!」

「I admittedly arrived at a busy time and The Bear was reportedly chronically short of staff. Whilst the room and its cleanliness was excellent, the human side was somewhat chaotic. I queued twice for approx. 15 mins in total only to be told, in regard to ordering food, that the chef was very busy and not feeling well. I could not order any food and whilst sickness is unavoidable no decision was made to stop food orders for the evening. That lack of a decision was the problem and frustrating. I...

「The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs.」
