“This is great little bungalow hotel just outside of the main area of Mendocino. The rooms were modern and clean, the grounds are nice, and there's actually a quite good view of the ocean out of the back window of many of the rooms. All around, we had a lovely time and would stay here again!”

“This lovely ocean view property was very close to both Fort Bragg ca and the town of Mendocino. The listing talks about steep stairs to all bedrooms- if you are mobility challenged may not be for you. We left our suitcases down stairs and only used upstairs for sleeping. The whole place gives off a cabin vibe which I loved. If you are looking for something fancy not for you. The art work through out is amazing and was fun to look at—overall good value for the price”

“If you are looking for one of the best views on the Mendocino coast, while seated on your own deck, surrounded by 3 acres of peace and quiet, look no further. The cottage is exactly as advertised. Simple, clean, nothing fancy but very comfortable. The kitchen has all the basics (2 burner cooktop - no stove/oven, toaster oven, microwave) and nice touches such as three different kinds of coffee makers & coffee beans/grinder. You can cook basic meals and don't forget, fabulous restaurants/cafes are……

“Crashing waves, location, location, location!! Relaxing, private studio cottage with gorgeous views. This visit we used the induction/hot plate for cooking breakfast. It was easy to use and provided another meal option which allowed for a romantic morning on the deck. Dan and Laura are gracious hosts with welcoming brandy and a special bottle of champagne in celebration of my husband’s 75th birthday ! Cypress Cove is magical and pet friendly too. “The cottage was perfect for us!…We were traveling with long time friends who loved the property…He is a photo buff and really enjoyed a couple of hikes! It was a great competitive value for Mendocino!”

“The forest suite is a perfect spot to getaway from typical vacation accommodations. It is a very short drive to Mendocino, yet tucked away in the forest. The suite has everything you need and even some of the stuff you didn't think of, but your host did. Jennifer is very responsive and has created a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy.”

“This is an older but nicely remodeled home. Beautiful views even with a rainy weekend. The lake laps right up to the edge of the property. Very close to town for entertainment but far enough away that you can get alone time. We would make 2 very strong recos. Put up curtains or blinds in the living room; it's disconcerting that the neighbors can see right in. Also, leave an instruction sheet for the TV; it was very challenging trying to figure out how the remote worked and what options were……

“The property was more remote than we anticipated. If you are looking for a true getaway, this is your spot. The local Elk grocery & mercantile store clerks were wonderful and full of ideas to fill our time. We took a trip to Mendocino and Fort Bragg along the beautiful coast. The house was so cozy, clean & charming. We will for sure return”

“The location, beach access and view from home was amazing! The home was decently stocked, but some needs some small improvements. The faucet in the shower needs replaced & the sink is rickety in the bathroom. There were ant bait traps all over the home, and we saw a few ants. The main concern is the entrance to the home. It’s not really the grade of the driveway, but the blind entrance onto HWY 1. The shrubs should be removed and a mirror added for better vision. We had to use my 16 year old……
