“My partner and I loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a tranquil getaway! The location is great, while being able to hear the river and see the stars but in total comfort. A few minor inconveniences occurred but nothing we couldn’t improvise. The host was able to provide prompt support as well. It is equipped with everything you may need for a relaxing getaway in nature! My mom and I will never forget this incredibly beautiful place. The host kept in touch regulary asking if there's anything they could do to make our stay better, but without being intrusive. “The patio was king. Kicking back with a mountain view was most relaxing.I had a few issues with the lock box at first, but it was dark.Shower was great. It had a modern setup I'd never seen before.We couldn't get the wifi password to work.Overall, loved the stay. Will come again if we need to stay in Calgary.”

“He photos are misleading - one feels they are renting a beautiful retreat. It isn’t. The cottage is run down, with a large burn on the dining room table, holes in the sitting room ottoman, and a worn out couch that we all found incredibly uncomfortable. Lack of comfortable seating was the worst part of the stay - either one sits on the worn out couch, or the hard dining room table chairs. The interior was filled with flies - they keep landing on our heads and food. The owner’s acknowledged……

“Very disappointed. We booked four nights at Ghost Country Cottage, but ended up cutting our stay short after one night. The cottage is located next to a gas station and caravan park, and is currently in the middle of a construction site. This was not clear from the online listing and photographs. “The view was great but the lake was frozen so a little different I think than if it was summer. Was cool seeing people drifting on the frozen lake though. Rooms were great, good sizes, awesome large main bedroom, noise from the living does carry upstairs as there is no door to separate it. I thought downstairs had a bigger living room of it own, so was not expecting that, but it worked out just fine. Open living, dining, kitchen was great for everyone hanging out.”
