「This was a great place to stay in Cochrane. The location is next to a big park, the staff were friendly and courteous, the room was clean, large and equipped with a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. In particular, we loved the fact that the bathroom had a roomy shower and proper full bathtub. We would definitely stay here again. 」

「Email sent after I requested info on checkin saying we were on our way-telling us we needed to bring towels. Someone working on shower when we arrived and did not get it fixed. Not enough amenities for number of people it says accommodates. Photos online must have been taken a few years ago-interior is well used.」

"Let's go to the saloon where you can throw peanuts shells on the floor!" That was what my friend said when a group of us were looking to go somewhere different. Such a place resides along Highway 579 in Alberta - the Water Valley Saloon. This eclectic stop along the highway is loved by locals and bikers passing through on their way to the Rocky Mountains. The food is great and so is the service. You will feel right at home in this cozy haunt. Don't forget to get your free basket of peanuts so you can toss the shells on the floor after your feast.
