“We stayed in the Casa Vallejo villa on the hotel property. It was awesome having the privacy and space of the villa, but the amenities of the hotel. Daniel and Fernado who run the hotel were amazing and took care of everything we needed. They set up massages for our group and a yoga class and connected us with a boat excursion that was great. “With so many other amazing options in Tulum its hard to recommend this hotel based on our experience. Pros: - A very nice room with good amenities - Nice bell hop and beach wait staff Cons: - Really poor service from the front desk - We arrived early and were told that hotel check-in was at 3pm, at 3:30pm our room still was not ready with the excuse of "the hotel is completely booked" - They were going to show us a potential room upgrade and forgot when other guests showed up to check-in -……

“The apartment was dirty and dusty. We were 3 people and didn’t get the 2 bedroom apartment because we wanted the one that had the private hot tub in the balcony which only had one bedroom and when we got in the place to be able to relax the hot tub was dirty and broken and I told them and they wouldn’t send anybody to come fix it. Also the dishes were dirty and the sink in the kitchen barely had water to wash dishes, the water in the shower was like salt water terrible, and no where to find……

“The view from our partial ocean view suite was amazing! The private pool was perfect temperature to cool down. The area is very walkable, or bikeable. We opted to walk some days but also rented a moped to zip around downtown. The staff was more than accommodating, anything and everything you could want they got for you. The beach chairs, and beds are both great options. There is beach service that I loved while relaxing in the sun you could order a pina colada right to your sun bed. I will……

“Amansala is a beautiful hotel with great staff, awesome beach club, and lovely rooms and ambience. Although, it is noisy! We were woken up each morning to grunting and barking and coaching from the retreat classes over a microphone that echoed throughout the hotel grounds. So, if you are booking a room here as a non-retreat guest, beware. There was also frequent construction going on behind our room. All this to say it was a beautiful place to stay, the main downside was the noise. ”
