The perfect spot.

The guest house is comfortable and cozy. We love the eclectic vibe and beautiful setting! The well appointed kitchen made meal prep easy. And, we especially enjoyed stargazing from the hot tub and fire pit. We’d love to stay there again!

Lovely private cabin

We loved this little cabin just outside of Salida/Poncha Springs. Hot tub was perfect, cozy fireplace and comfy bed. Thanks for a wonderful getaway!

Just as wonderful as first visit

So close to Salida, but you feel miles away. The pond and river and surroundings are very peaceful. The house is very comfortable and the bookshelf has a wonderful mix of books. We also enjoyed the hot tub.

Peaceful Weekend Getaway

The cabin is perfect for a quiet weekend away. Its easy to get in and out of Salida and has great access to the beautiful outdoor spaces of the Southern Sawatch range. It is very clean and everything was easy to find and operate.

Beautiful Location

This is an adorable guest house on a ranch property. The house was comfortable and clean. While we didn't have an opportunity to take advantage of all the fun activies on the property because of our schedule, they all looked amazing. Also, very nice owners!

Wonderful guest house, quiet and our dog loved the pond. Very curious of the cows as well. Owners are close but very respectful of privacy and allow full access to the property.

Perfect Peace

The guest house is perfectly located and well maintained. You are within a few minutes of downtown Salida and all the wonderful hiking, biking, and river activities one could want. The guest house has a great view of the mountains and sits on a lovely landscape of trees, trout streams, pastures, and well kept grounds.

This home is just charming! The location is magnificent. So close to town and yet so quiet and peaceful. Loved the outdoor area and especially the hot tub. I highly recommend!!

mountain valley fun

Perfectly sited cabin for jumping off for fabulous spring hikes. The cabin is quiet, private and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Chip fixed the water heater immediately when the pilot light decided to extinguish itself and it was great to chat with him. Would stay again for sure!

Beautiful house, stunning views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and well stocked. Loved the decor, the antiques and the interesting book collection. The property is beautiful with plenty of room for the dog to run. Salida is a great location for multiple outdoor activities. Wish we could have stayed longer.

magical mountain paradise!

This is a truly special place! We loved every moment here! The house had everything we needed and was very cozy- so many meaningful touches. We loved stargazing from the hot tub, having a fire at night, and just watching the sun rise and set each day! The land itself it incredibly beautiful, we will be dreaming about this stay for a long time! Can't wait to come back!

Hidden Gem

We had a long weekend stay here recently, the location was so peaceful and the property was everything we wanted and more. From the views to the amazing hot tub to the cute cows that dot the landscape on an early morning - it was incredible and we’re so happy to have found this spot. We’ll certainly be back!

Peaceful cabin.

We loved the cabin and the pond and river. Love the style of the cabin. Wonderfully decorated and all the books! We celebrated our birthdays and enjoyed the hot tub. Might be time to clean the windows, other than that it’s perfect.

Another great stay at the Little River!

We're repeat visitors to this little guest house and we're so grateful to the owners for sharing this place with us. The views are phenomenal and it's so close to all the fun action in Salida. We lucked out with clear skies on the morning of the Perseid meteor shower peak and our 4am wakeup call was totally worth it--the night sky is amazing down here! Thank you!

Peaceful and cozy stay

This was my second time staying at this property (although different season!) and it was just as nice as my first stay! What a beautiful property with gorgeous views, next to a creek; it was quiet, quaint and overall relaxing getaway! It's close proximity to town, Monarch Mnt, Buena Vista, and we even did a day trip to the sand dunes. We had no issues and really enjoyed our stay! I also really appreciate the owners allowing dogs! I think my pups enjoyed it as much as we did. :)
