Great base to explore from

The cottage is in a fantastic location in the heart of Staithes. It’s literally 20 seconds walk to the harbour. Being so close to the harbour it was easy to park there and get everything into the cottage without a problem. Staithes is quirky, you should read up about it before deciding to stay there. This isn’t an issue with the property but could detract from your stay if you were unaware of it. The spec of the property is excellent and never once felt like it was missing something. It’s finished to a high standard. We got to watch the sunrise in the summer solstice from the harbour ( and the sunset a few hours earlier). This will be a break that we won’t forget for all the right reasons.

My experience was overall 5 star rating the property was lovely and clean , kitchen had everything you needed , lovely open fire , games and DVD’s for the kid’s for the nights i would definitely recommend it amd would stay again lisa

Great location

Such a lovely cottage, easy to find right next to the nice pub & close to the beach, the cottage is nicely decorated, lovely bathroom & fab kitchen with everything you need including a dishwasher, the owners were very informative and friendly, staithes is such a pretty place & not too far from Whitby & robin hoods bay, will definitely recommend to family & friends

We had a fabulous stay at Gun Gutter House....a beautiful seaside cottage just as we hoped. Excellent location and wonderfully equipped!
