Was perfect, had the little kitchen area that came in very handy. Also had plates, cups, utensils, and pans. Bathroom was a good size very modern look! Will definitely be booking again for our next stay!

Check in stated 4 pm and then I got a text saying it would be delayed to 4:30- we arrived at 4:50 and the room was still being cleaned. Almost everything in the room was broken- shower handles, the couch-bed, AC, and more. the code to our room was the same as the one given to all customers for the front door so it felt unsafe, like anyone could come in. it was loud outside and sometimes really cold. I will say the location is great for being around a lot of things in walking distance. check out was easy

I stayed in March. I turned the AC off but it seemed to be working. Didn't need laundry. Kitchen was the most well-appointed mini kitchen I have ever seen.

Unusual in not a good way. This is an older building that’s been turned into hotel rooms. Somewhat sketchy street, homeless person sleeping in tent by front door. Building and room smelled musty. Room had shabby mismatched furniture, damaged artwork, torn check out room door tag. Only one hard chair to sit on. Very low platform bed with sharp edges, not good for older person to get in and out of. No light by entrance door or closet. Bulb missing from overhead light so hard to see into closet and needed my flashlight. Outlets not in convenient place for devices and no USB/USC options, so needed plugs instead Couldn’t get TV to work or turn TV screen off, had to unplug. When called for help got what sounded like overseas customer service who just took message. 14 hours later someone responded and there was no one who could come and check it out/fix it over the 3 days I was there. So you’re on your own for any problems and it will take a while to even hear back about them. Management finally texted back and forth, asked me to buy new batteries for remote and offered me a gift card for that. I declined. Then offered me 10% of future stay but I won’t be staying there ever again. In the end, not a bargain.

The property is in a great location and the sky lights in the suite were lovely, but the suite did not seem to have been cleaned before we arrived. There were crumbs on the counters and table (as well as a broken acrylic nail), the floor was dirty, and the second comforter had large makeup stains on one corner. There was also trash (from the restaurant) by the elevator on the main floor every nights, which wasn't ideal. Laundry machines also had a good amount of grime/hair, so despite them being available, I would not recommend using them.

Door to the building was broken / didn’t lock and wasn’t secure, there was a stain on the bed when we arrived, and the bars on the first floor play bass loud enough that the mattress vibrates at 11 pm on a Monday.

I never leave reviews but felt it was important to leave one here. The TV was not working when I got there. The staff came and entered my room when I was not there to install a new tv the next day. Upon returning to my room, my daughter’s prescription meds were missing and never found. In addition, when I first got to the room there were no sheets for the pull out couch and the comforter in the closet had stains all over it. There is no front desk and everything is done through a chat agent (likely AI chat). They told me where the laundry room was and gave me the code and asked me to go down and look for sheets.

The nose wasn't all issue, and we were directly above the Havana room. What was an issue, was customer service. We were locked out of the building on day 4, and my pleas for help were answered by AI, it took 4 hours to resolve the issue. When I reached out to them to discuss it, before leaving the review, again, AI and no resolution. The elevator is shared with the kitchen of the restaurant below and is full of gross,wet sticky juice all of the time. The hall was pulled in uncollected Amazon packages and the smell of mildew was almost sickening, the pictures of the common areas looked nothing like the hotel . The unit itself was fine, tho there was no tv in the bedroom and only about 10 inches between the foot of the bed and the wall, so beware if you use any kind of mobility device

I stayed at Kasa Gaslamp Quarter for two days and honestly, it was one of the best lodging experiences I’ve had in San Diego. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Gaslamp, walkable to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and the downtown waterfront. I really felt like I was living in the city instead of just visiting. The unit itself was clean, modern, and comfortable. Loved having the full kitchen and cozy layout, it made settling in so easy. Check-in was smooth, communication was clear, and everything felt very secure. If you want the independence of an apartment with the convenience of being steps from all the action, Kasa is the move. I’d absolutely stay here again.
