Overall we were happy with our rental, but we did have some issues, namely communication. We did not receive the "check-in text" (supposed to go out 1 hour before check-in) so we had no idea which building we were in, which unit, where to park, etc. We did get the info about 25 minutes after we were supposed to check in. The gate codes provided were wrong, so we had to wait for someone else to let us through the beach access gate and the pool gate until someone was nice enough to provide the codes. There was no map provided, so we weren't sure which facilities we had access to or where anything was located. We figured most of this out, but it left us with the feeling that we didn't get our money's worth since we just didn't know what all came with the rental or what facilities we had access to. Most of the rentals we've stayed in (dozens) come with a check in/out packet explaining where everything is on-property, how you access, other info/requirements, etc. For instance, there was a key provided on a blue lanyard, we still don't know if it was to a golf cart, or other amenity that we never able to use because there were no instructions.
The property was great, location was great, access was great. The only issue with the property was that there was no hot water the first day, so we all had to take cold showers. I contacted the manager and they submitted a maintenance ticket and the issue was resolved by the next evening.
